Behind great art usually lies a great story.
The case of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is no exception. Proficient on the harpsichord at 4, composing music at 5 and performing at 6 for the Austrian empress at her Vienna court, Mozart is one of those composers around whom legend and story gather. Only witness the movie and play Amadeus.
Now a new retelling of the Mozart story - designed specifically for children ages 6 and up - is coming to the Peoria Civic Center Theater next week.
Titled Mozart's Magnificent Voyage, this theatrical presentation tells the story of Karl, Mozart's son, who yearns to escape from his boarding school to spend time with his famous, overbusy father
